About the institute
Al A'zam Quran Institute was founded on a simple belief: every Muslim, wherever they live and whatever their age, deserves a patient, qualified teacher who knows their name. Since opening our first online classrooms, we have grown into a family of students and tutors working together across more than twenty countries.
Our story
Al A'zam began in Rawalpindi with a handful of teachers and one conviction: the best Quran teachers were being cut off from most of the world by geography and timezones. Families abroad wanted proper Tajweed, proper Arabic pronunciation and an Islamic character education for their children — but struggled to find reliable, qualified tutors within their own week.
So we built the institute around the student instead. Our teachers work around the clock, our office answers messages at three in the morning, and every class is one-on-one. A child in London and a reverting adult in Berlin are taught with the same care, the same syllabus and the same warmth.
Today, alongside Quranic studies, we teach the full range of school subjects — Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Computer Science — because we believe a confident Muslim student should excel in both worlds.
What drives us
Two commitments shape every decision we make — from the teacher we hire to the fee we publish.
A world in which no Muslim is separated from the Quran by distance, language, cost or schedule. We believe that a child who reads the Quran beautifully and understands what they read carries that light into every part of their life — and that access to excellent teaching should never depend on which country you were born in.
We also see academic education as part of the same mission: a confident, well-rounded Muslim student, strong in both Deen and Dunya.

Message from the institute
When a family joins Al A'zam, they are not buying a slot in a crowded classroom. They are joining a partnership — one where the teacher speaks to the parent about progress, where the student is never lost in a group, and where the institute takes responsibility for the quality of every single class.
Our Ijazah-bearing teachers take their duty seriously. They teach the Quran exactly as it was taught to them, letter by letter, with correct Makharij and Tajweed. Our academic tutors do the same for their subjects, building understanding rather than rote learning.
