Foundations Every Muslim Child Should Know

Alongside Quran and academic subjects, we build the practical foundations of daily worship — taught gently, step by step, at a pace that suits the learner.

How It Works

Step-by-Step Salah Guidance

Wudhu, the five daily prayers, correct postures and the words of each prayer — taught practically until the student can pray independently.

Iman-e-Mufassil & Mujammil

The declarations of faith recited with correct pronunciation, along with their meaning explained in simple, age-appropriate language.

Daily Sunnahs & Duas

The morning and evening supplications, duas before eating, sleeping and travelling, and the everyday Sunnahs of the Prophet ﷺ.

What Our Students Say

Parents and adult learners from over 20 countries on what changed for them after joining Al A'zam.

My son started with Qaida and could barely recognise the letters. Eight months later he is reading full pages of the Quran with Tajweed. His teacher is endlessly patient with him and never makes him feel behind.
Ayesha K.Ayesha K.Parent of two · London, UK
I had wanted to learn proper Tajweed for years but could never fit a class around my shift work. Being able to book at 11pm my time changed everything — the teacher adjusted to my timezone, not the other way round.
Muhammad BilalMuhammad BilalAdult student · Toronto, Canada
I asked for a female teacher and was matched with one the same week. That made me comfortable enough to actually recite aloud and make mistakes without embarrassment. My pronunciation has improved more in three months than in years of trying on my own.
Fatima Z.Fatima Z.Adult learner · Sydney, Australia
We take Maths and Physics tuition alongside the Quran course for my eldest. The monthly progress report tells me exactly which topics he has covered and where he still struggles, so I always know what I am paying for.
Hafiz Abdul RahmanHafiz Abdul RahmanParent · Dubai, UAE
As a new Muslim I was nervous about asking basic questions. My teacher answered every one of them without judgement, from how to perform Wudhu to why we recite a particular dua. The free trial removed all the pressure to commit.

Common questions

Everything Parents Ask Before Starting

Standard classes run for 30 or 45 minutes, and you choose which when you enrol. Most children under eight do best with 30-minute sessions, while older students and adults usually prefer 45 minutes. Longer 60-minute sessions are available for exam-focused tuition.

A laptop, tablet or smartphone with a working camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space. We use Zoom, Skype or Google Meet — whichever you already have. No special software needs to be installed.

Yes. We have dedicated female tutors available for sisters and young girls, and you can request one for every class. Just mention it when you book your free trial and we will match you before your first session.

Fees depend on the course, the number of weekly hours and whether you choose individual or group classes. We also offer discounts when siblings enrol together or when a student takes more than one course. Share your situation during the free trial and we will recommend the most economical plan.

Nothing automatic and nothing charged. At the end of your third class we simply ask whether you would like to continue. If you do, we confirm your monthly schedule and fee; if not, you owe nothing and can stop there.

Absolutely. Our teachers cover all timezones and schedules change often for families. Let us know at least 4 hours in advance to reschedule a class, and we will find another slot that week.

That is a large part of what we do. Complete beginners start with Qaida, learning the Arabic letters from the very beginning, and new reverts are paired with teachers experienced in answering foundational questions patiently and without judgement.
